AI Live Room
AI Live Room is a ModelFold desktop app that reads Douyin livestream chat, generates spoken replies and drives a Live2D avatar’s mouth movements with voice volume. The app is free; AI replies consume ModelFold credits based on actual model usage.
Public version 0.1.0 is available in English and Chinese.
- Download for macOS Apple silicon: M1 or later, macOS 12+.

Installers are unsigned and not notarized. If blocked on Mac, choose System Settings → Privacy & Security → Open Anyway. On Windows SmartScreen, choose More info → Run anyway.

Feature status
- Chat replies: configurable persona, recent conversation context, duplicate filtering and reply queues.
- Welcome messages: editable templates and grouped welcomes. Preset messages do not call a model.
- Idle introductions: preset speech during quiet periods, without using model credits.
- Live2D: volume-driven lip sync, backgrounds, captions, aspect ratios and output settings for OBS or a livestreaming companion. Check actual capture behavior in your own environment.
- Gifts: message decoding and priority queuing are implemented; real gift events still need validation.
- Likes: events can be collected; dedicated reply scripts are planned.
- Printer interaction: planned; printer connections and automatic printing are not implemented.
Preparation and setup
- Download and install the app. Prepare a ModelFold API key and a livestream room you are authorized to use.
- Enter the key and room, then configure the persona, voice and background. Try mock chat and offline scripts first without calling a model.
- Start AI Live Room, then add an OBS browser source or capture the avatar window in your streaming software and configure audio. Check sound, captions, AI labels and human takeover arrangements before going live.
The key is stored locally. Text needed for AI replies is sent to ModelFold models, and speech synthesis depends on a network service. Do not put sensitive information in chat or persona settings.
Free app and credits
A free app does not mean unlimited free AI replies. Replies use credits in your own ModelFold account, charged by actual model usage. Preset welcomes, idle introductions and offline scripts do not call a model. Hardware, network and platform costs may apply separately.
Before streaming
Follow the platform’s current rules, complete required identity checks, retain required AI-generated / virtual-host labels and keep a human supervising and ready to take over. Do not use AI Live Room for unattended streams or prohibited content. Platform changes may affect compatibility.
The sample Live2D avatar is for demonstration. Check licenses for models, music and other assets before commercial use, and replace them with your own or commercially licensed assets as needed.
